CLOUD MISCONCEPTIONS

Don't let the biggest misconceptions for moving to a cloud solution deter you! Teleconnect Service are here to set the record straight.

If you are a decision-maker, and finding it difficult to maintain your telecoms infrastructure but uncertain about moving to the cloud, then this is a must-read article for you. In this article, we will address some of the major misconceptions about moving to the cloud. Teleconnect Service will help you to understand how cloud adoption can prove to be a significant decision for your business.

Will moving to the cloud cost more money?

The perception that moving to the cloud costs more money is false. Moving to the cloud often saves the customer money as there are no maintenance charges, call plans are free with a cloud based solution and there are no upfront costs for the hardware.

If the internet goes down will I still get calls?

The perception that you won’t receive calls if the internet goes down is false. If you are on a cloud based solution and the broadband goes down you won’t get calls on the handset, however the disaster recovery will have your calls directed to a mobile before you even realise the internet is down.   With an older system if the phones went down you would have to report a fault and then ask for a divert (this would take longer than our disaster recovery plan).

Does my business really need all the features that a cloud phone has?

The perception that you don’t need cloud phone features is false. Whilst there are indeed many more available features on a cloud based solution, you don’t have to use all of them, and the ones you do are guaranteed to improve your businesses productivity.

I have maintenance on my existing phone system so why should I upgrade?

The perception that you don’t need to upgrade your telephone system is false. Yes, you may have maintenance but are you aware that if the phones stop working, sometimes the systems are so old the parts are obsolete and they won’t be able to be repaired.  All that will happen there is you would be offered to upgrade to a cloud solution with your current provider. Would you not prefer to get more than one quote or be forced to upgrade as your phones aren’t working.
