iPECS ONE IS A GAME CHANGER FOR BUSINESSES

How is iPECS ONE a ‘Game Changer’ for businesses?

Ericsson-LG Enterprise’s new iPECS ONE offering is a “game-changer” because of the way it delivers simple intuitive Collaboration experiences leveraging WebRTC technology, according to Ahed Alkhatib, VP of Global Sales and Marketing. The vendor launched iPECS ONE in 2021, stating it is the next generation of mobile and PC-based voice and video communications. It is developed using WebRTC technology, allowing subscribers to set up voice, video, and chat sessions quickly and easily from their browser, negating the need to download applications and manage software releases.

VP of Global Sales for Ericsson-LG opens up about the benefits of iPECS ONE.

“iPECS ONE is a game-changer; it is the latest evolution of our collaboration platform that leverages standards-based WebRTC technology, which gives us the ability to deliver a superior user experience from any device,” Alkhatib told UC Today. “We’re able to leverage web-based technologies that – either by a mobile device or a desktop device – deliver that consistent user experience across platforms and devices. That’s really how this is a superior solution.” iPECS ONE is a component of the iPECS Cloud platform and offers a new range of tools for remote workers, including voice calls, chat, video, contacts, and call log. Its utilisation of WebRTC is indicative of how the market is changing, Alkhatib said. “This is an important trend across the industry and while there are several solutions available in the market today from competing vendors – not all are leveraging the full capabilities of WebRTC” he explained. “Now that the WebRTC standard has been ratified – we expect many other vendors to migrate their legacy Collaboration solutions to adopt and take advantage of the many benefits that WebRTC offers.

iPECS ONE is the future!

Ericsson-LG Enterprise has been working with iPECS service provider partner Pragma, who in turn work with Teleconnect Service, to distribute iPECS ONE throughout the UK. Will Morey, Pragma’s Sales and Marketing Director, said that he has seen “great appetite” in the mid-market and enterprise for the solution, despite it being optimised for SMBs. The solution offers end-users the ability to work anytime and anywhere through their desktop and mobile browser, while IT managers enjoy only having to maintain and support a browser and internet connection rather than multiple individual applications, said Morey. This easy deployability and accessibility means there is a “massively increased” opportunity for resellers around iPECS ONE, Alkhatib added.  iPECS ONE has already been rolled out in the UK market and Morey reported that as of March 2021, 1,500 users across the UK implement it as part of their iPECS Cloud UCaaS service.

“The beauty of the product is it delivers exactly the environment the user needs, and they can access that just through the sharing of email setup and a QR code; when they first get the invite to use the product to actually using it takes seconds and immediately they’re immersed into an environment where they can access everything they need. To be able to have the full collaboration environment and have the real power and functionality of a fully-featured cloud telephony product has been where the real benefit is for many of the users we’re speaking to and one of the things that the resellers love.”

iPECS ONE is here to stay!

There is significant pent-up demand for the solution across Ericsson-LG Enterprise’s global partner network, said Alkhatib. He told UC Today that iPECS ONE launched throughout Europe, Australia, North America, and parts of the Middle East last calendar quarter. To learn more about iPECS ONE, contact us today!
